Professional resin printing, most parts in under two hours

Form Studio 1 is the first affordable, professional-grade resin 3D printer from Formlabs, with a powerful, long-lasting print engine and an open platform. It is built on the same Low Force Display (LFD) architecture as Form 4, updated for this printer. Print most parts in under two hours with razor-sharp detail and smooth surfaces.

Form Studio 1 is made for form-and-fit prototypes, figurines, models and props. For functional prototypes, rapid tooling and end-use parts, Formlabs offers the Form 4. The two printers complement each other.

Build Platform or Build Platform Flex

The Build Platform Flex releases parts in seconds without tools: flex the platform and the parts pop off. Recommended for almost all prints; not a fit for flexible materials.

Open Material Mode

Open Material Mode is included free with every Form Studio 1. It lets you print with any third-party 405 nm resin and create your own print settings. Materials in Open Material Mode require the Form Studio 1 Resin Tank Pro. Open Material Mode prints run without automatic resin handling, so you dispense the material yourself.

Resin tanks and lifetime

The included Form Studio 1 Resin Tank is optimised for speed and fine features and works with all Alpha Resins, True Cast Resin and Flexible 80A Resin V2. For Tough 1500 Resin V2 (Form Studio 1) and materials in Open Material Mode, use the Form Studio 1 Resin Tank Pro. Both tanks last at least 75,000 layers, approximately 190 prints of an average 39 mm tall model at 100 micron layer height with any Formlabs material.
