Warranty Terms – Lay3rs 3D Printing

At Lay3rs 3D Printing, quality, reliability and excellent customer service are at the heart of what we do. We want our customers to be able to rely on the products they purchase from us.

The applicable warranty terms depend on the product and whether the purchase is made by a consumer or a business customer.

Warranty for Consumers (B2C)

All products purchased from Lay3rs by consumers are covered by statutory warranty rights under applicable Dutch consumer law.

This means that you are entitled to receive a product that conforms to the sales agreement and meets the expectations you can reasonably have of it. These expectations depend on factors such as the type of product, its price, the product information provided and its intended use.

Under Dutch law, there is no fixed statutory warranty period of one or two years. Your statutory rights depend on what you may reasonably expect from the product, including its expected lifespan.

Additional Manufacturer's Warranty

In addition to your statutory rights, products may come with a commercial warranty provided by the manufacturer or supplier.

The duration, coverage and conditions of such warranties may vary depending on the manufacturer and product.

Any additional manufacturer's warranty does not affect or limit your statutory consumer rights.

When Is a Defect Not Covered?

A defect caused by circumstances for which Lay3rs is not responsible is not covered by the statutory conformity obligations. Examples include damage resulting from improper use, inadequate maintenance, incorrect storage, improper installation or unauthorised modifications.

Each case will be assessed individually, with full consideration of the consumer's statutory rights.

Warranty for Business Customers (B2B)

Purchases made in the course of a business or professional activity are subject to the business warranty terms of Lay3rs 3D Printing.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the commercial warranty offered by Lay3rs is limited to the applicable manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, including its terms, duration, coverage and exclusions.

The specific statutory warranty protections applicable to consumers do not apply to business purchases. Business customers are subject to the contractual agreements, the applicable business terms and conditions, and relevant law.

Exclusions from Commercial Warranty Coverage

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable warranty terms, commercial warranty coverage generally excludes defects resulting from:

• Improper or unintended use.

• Incorrect installation or inadequate maintenance.

• Improper storage of equipment or materials.

• Unauthorised modifications or alterations.

• Use of unsuitable components or materials.

• Operation outside the manufacturer's prescribed operating or environmental conditions.

Normal wear and tear and consumable parts are covered only where expressly included in the applicable warranty terms.

Submitting a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with a product, please contact our support department at [email protected].

Where possible, please include your order or invoice number, the product's serial number and a clear description of the issue. Photographs or videos may help us assess the problem.

Lay3rs may inspect the product or arrange for it to be assessed by the manufacturer or supplier.

For business customers, reasonable inspection, diagnostic and transportation costs may be charged if the issue is found to fall outside the applicable warranty coverage, provided that the customer was informed of these potential costs in advance.

For consumers, statutory rights regarding the assessment, repair and replacement of non-conforming products remain fully applicable.
