Information

ColorFabb has teamed up with Eastman Chemical Company to develop co-polyester based materials for FFF/FDM 3D printing. Now you can fulfill your vision with 3D creations that exhibit sparkling clarity and gloss and superior toughness. With superior melt strength and dimensional stability, Amphora delivers advanced bridging capabilities to create stronger and more detailed items—with low odor and low emissions.

Eastman Amphora™ 3D polymer is a low-odorstyrene-free choice that is uniquely suited for 3D printing applications. With Amphora, items can be created that are more functional, more durable, more efficient, and attractive.

nGen is made with Amphora AM3300 and has good flow properties through the printer nozzle - even at lower temperatures than some other polymers require. These properties make nGen more workable at a wider breadth of temperatures, producing reliable results and resulting in less waste. nGen exhibits advanced overhang ability, excellent looks, and large printing temperature range—empowering large panel of users to create durable and useful items.

You can find the relevant data sheets here. To find more about emissions during 3D printing, you can find our more information here.

At colorFabb we have a well equipped 3d printing studio with a lot of popular 3d printers. We know our materials will give you excellent results and to help you get these results here are tips and trick for using colorFabb 3d printing filament.

Adviced 3d printing temperature:
220-240C

Adviced 3d print speed:
40 - 70 mm/s

Advised Heated bed
75-85C

Build platform
nGen gives best results on a heated build platform, 75C to about 85C is usually needed for proper adhesion to a glass plate.
Printing on a cold bed is possible but you’ll need some adhesion tools to minimize warping. 3DLac, buildTak or 3DEeze can do the trick.

Since colorFabb develops and produces their own filaments we have a lot of knowhow about our materials. Here you’ll find all kinds of interesting material specifications that will help you decide which material is best for your project.
